Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Materials Engineer to advance materials technologies for the deployment of Starlink. You'll leverage your expertise in semiconductor device physics and fabrication, focusing on solar cell development, panel-level packaging, and PCB manufacturing.

Who you are

You have a strong background in materials engineering with a focus on electronic materials, bringing deep expertise in semiconductor device physics and device fabrication. Your hands-on industry experience spans at least one of the following domains: solar cell development, panel-level packaging, or printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing. You are a technical expert who thrives on driving material and process innovations across these areas. You understand the complexities of materials used in advanced technologies and are eager to contribute to groundbreaking projects.

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset, allowing you to work effectively within a team of engineers and scientists. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely is a key asset, enabling you to engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. You are passionate about advancing technology and are motivated by the mission of enabling human life on Mars through innovative engineering solutions.

Desirable

Experience with advanced materials characterization techniques and a strong understanding of material properties as they relate to electronic applications would be beneficial. What you'll do
