Overview

Amazon is hiring a Graduate Shift Manager to oversee team operations and ensure timely delivery of goods. This role requires strong leadership skills and a focus on safety and process optimization.

Job Description

Who you are

As a Graduate Shift Manager, you are prepared to take on leadership responsibilities after completing an extensive 11-week onboarding program. You will lead your own team, ensuring that customers receive their goods on time and in good quality. You prioritize safety and process optimization, working collaboratively with your team and other departments to achieve operational excellence.

You have a strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental protection, ensuring compliance with safety regulations at your location. You are capable of deriving actionable recommendations for process improvements based on key performance indicators such as safety, productivity, and quality. Your leadership skills enable you to effectively manage and train a team of up to 100 employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

You thrive in a shift-based environment, whether it be early, late, or night shifts, and you conduct regular team meetings to provide feedback and guidance to your team members. Your analytical skills allow you to leverage data to influence operational outcomes and enhance customer satisfaction.

Desirable

Experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced environment would be beneficial, as well as familiarity with process optimization techniques and safety standards.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take charge of your team's operations, ensuring that all safety standards are met and that your location runs smoothly. You will participate in cross-departmental projects aimed at improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include planning and managing internal processes, as well as collaborating with upstream and downstream departments to optimize workflows.

You will lead your team through routine operations, conducting team meetings and feedback sessions to ensure everyone is aligned with the company's goals. Your focus on data analysis will help you identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. You will also be involved in training and developing your team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
