Overview

Flex is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to drive strategic partnerships in new verticals. You'll focus on expanding Flex's pay-over-time platform into various industries. This role requires strong sales acumen and experience in building complex deals.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in business development, particularly in strategic selling and partnership building. With at least 5 years of experience, you thrive in high-impact roles where your performance is measured by the deals you close and the markets you penetrate. You possess a deep understanding of the FinTech landscape and are adept at navigating complex negotiations. Your ability to build conviction and open doors is matched by your passion for driving growth and innovation in new verticals. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including GTM and Sales leadership, to ensure alignment and maximize impact. You are results-oriented and have a knack for identifying opportunities that align with the company's mission and goals.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the full sales motion for Flex's pay-over-time platform, targeting major payment platforms and vertical SaaS providers across industries such as insurance, utilities, telecom, auto, and healthcare. You will be responsible for pipeline creation, partner outreach, negotiation, and revenue scaling. Your strategic mindset will help you identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with Flex's mission to empower renters with flexibility over their recurring expenses. You will work closely with the VP of Strategic Partnerships to develop and execute strategies that drive measurable adoption and sustained growth. Your role will involve not only closing deals but also launching partnerships that define the next wave of growth for the company. You will be expected to track performance metrics and report on progress, ensuring that your efforts contribute to the overall success of the organization.
