Databricks is seeking a Startup Account Executive to drive sales with innovative companies leveraging data. You'll utilize your experience in Cloud and SaaS sales to close new accounts and expand existing ones. This role requires at least 1 year of closing sales experience.
You have at least 1 year of closing sales experience, ideally in the big data, Cloud, or SaaS sectors — you understand how to navigate both transactional and strategic sales processes effectively. Your creativity and self-motivation shine through as you engage with customers, helping them envision the transformative power of data. You are adept at compressing decision cycles and guiding deals forward, ensuring that you meet and exceed sales KPIs and quotas.
Your ability to quickly learn new technologies and articulate their value proposition is a key strength — you thrive on understanding products in depth and communicating their benefits to customers and partners. You have a customer-first mindset, focusing on delivering business value and building strong relationships with clients. Your experience includes successfully closing new accounts while also expanding existing ones, demonstrating your capability to manage a diverse sales pipeline.
Experience with Salesforce and Clari is a plus, as maintaining clear hygiene in these tools is essential for tracking use cases, revenue forecasts, and account notes. Familiarity with MEDDPICC methodology will enhance your ability to strategize and prioritize accounts effectively.
As a Startup Account Executive at Databricks, you will be responsible for building a territory plan within your first 30 days, establishing a clear account prioritization strategy. You will align both new and existing customers with the Lakehouse vision and ecosystem, ranging from faster transactions to large strategic deals. Your role will involve prospecting for new opportunities and closing new accounts while expanding existing ones, ensuring that you meet and exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets.
You will report to a regional sales manager, collaborating closely with your team to drive sales initiatives. Your responsibilities will include maintaining clear Salesforce and Clari hygiene, documenting use cases, revenue forecasts, and account notes to ensure transparency and accountability in your sales process. You will lead with a customer-first mindset, focusing on delivering business value and fostering long-term relationships with clients.
