Overview

Google is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Cloud Memorystore team to develop large-scale infrastructure and distributed systems. You'll work with C++, Java, Go, and Python, focusing on performance optimization and cloud technologies. This role requires 8+ years of experience in software engineering.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 8 years of experience programming in languages such as C++, Java, Go, or Python. Your background includes 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, along with experience in compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. You possess 3 years of experience with software design and architecture, demonstrating your ability to create robust and scalable systems. You are familiar with performance optimization and tuning, and have experience in database design, large-scale distributed systems, Cloud APIs, and caching technologies like Redis. Your versatility allows you to adapt to various programming languages and technologies, making you a valuable asset to any team.

Desirable

Experience with general-purpose programming languages such as C/C++, C#, Objective C, or Go is a plus. Familiarity with cloud services and open-source technologies will enhance your contributions to the team. You are enthusiastic about collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading projects that drive innovation and efficiency.
