Bandwidth is seeking a DevSecOps Intern for Summer 2026 to work with the Information Security team. You'll develop security compliance automation and participate in security reviews. This role requires a background in cybersecurity and familiarity with GitHub and Terraform.
You are currently pursuing a B.S. in a Cybersecurity related area or concentration, demonstrating a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles. Your experience with GitHub and Terraform showcases your ability to work with version control and infrastructure as code, essential skills for a DevSecOps role. You possess knowledge around Security Compliance Frameworks and the Software Development Lifecycle, which will help you navigate the complexities of application security. Your strong communication skills enable you to articulate security concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are eager to learn and grow in the field of cybersecurity, showing a genuine interest in the latest security trends and technologies.
Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure would be a bonus, as it aligns with the modern infrastructure used in many organizations today. Familiarity with penetration testing and security reviews will further enhance your contributions to the team, allowing you to engage in practical security assessments.
As a DevSecOps Intern at Bandwidth, you will develop Security Compliance Automation, which involves creating scripts and tools to ensure that applications meet security standards. You will participate in Security Reviews and Penetration Testing, gaining hands-on experience in identifying vulnerabilities and assessing the security posture of applications. You will learn about and use enterprise security tools, providing you with exposure to industry-standard practices and technologies. Additionally, you will participate in responding to security incidents, allowing you to apply your knowledge in real-world scenarios and understand the importance of incident response in maintaining security.
