Google is seeking a Principal Security Architect to lead security operations in London. You'll design secure multi-cloud environments and integrate security practices across the software development lifecycle. This role requires 8+ years of experience and expertise in DevSecOps and cloud security.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, along with at least 8 years of experience in a customer-facing advisory role. Your expertise lies in designing multi-cloud environments, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, and you have a strong background in defining secure architectural patterns. You are well-versed in integrating security practices across the software development lifecycle, particularly in DevSecOps, and have experience automating security controls and processes using Infrastructure as Code tools.
Your knowledge spans critical security domains such as network security, identity security, data security, and application security. You hold certifications like CISSP or CCSP, which demonstrate your commitment to security excellence. You have led comprehensive threat modeling exercises and conducted detailed risk assessments to identify security vulnerabilities in customer systems. Additionally, you have experience securing modern cloud-native architectures, including containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker, as well as serverless computing.
You understand the integration of various security tools, such as SIEM, WAF, DLP, and CSPM, and are familiar with the security concerns associated with Generative AI. Your ability to articulate security concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical executive stakeholders sets you apart. You must be a British citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements, including potential access to classified information.
Experience with cloud security frameworks and standards is a plus, as is familiarity with compliance regulations relevant to the UK. You are proactive in guiding customers on security best practices, embedding security into their CI/CD pipelines, and adopting security automation strategies. Your strong communication skills enable you to translate security standards and regulations into practical, achievable implementation plans for customer architectures.
In this role, you will guide customers in identifying, assessing, and mitigating cloud security risks specific to their environments and workloads. You will work closely with engineering teams to embed security into the development process, ensuring that security is a fundamental aspect of the software lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include leading security assessments, developing security architectures, and providing strategic guidance on security best practices.
You will also be responsible for automating security controls and processes, leveraging Infrastructure as Code tools to enhance security posture. Your role will involve conducting regular security reviews and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will lead initiatives to improve security awareness and training among technical teams, fostering a culture of security within the organization.
