Sr. Database Engineer Specialist

Who you are

You have extensive experience in database engineering, particularly with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Your advanced English skills enable you to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment, and you are comfortable guiding teams through complex database migration processes. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting and resolving critical incidents, ensuring that database management standards are met and maintained.

You have a strong understanding of cloud environments, particularly with Azure, and are familiar with NoSQL databases like MongoDB. Your expertise includes performance tuning, query optimization, and implementing best practices for database administration. You are also experienced in coaching and sharing knowledge with team members, helping them grow in their technical capabilities.

Desirable

Experience with AWS RDS or GCP Cloud SQL is a plus, as is any relevant certification such as Azure Database or DP. You are always looking to improve your skills and stay updated with the latest technologies in database management.

What you'll do

In this role, you will guide various migration factories on database-related topics, addressing technical questions and issues as they arise. You will play a crucial role in planning and evaluating remediation efforts, enhancing incident management processes, and ensuring compliance with established database administration standards. You will define configuration guidelines and application migration strategies that align with security, performance, and availability requirements.

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving critical incidents, providing technical coaching to your team from planning through to successful migration. You will analyze complex issues and propose proactive, sustainable solutions that improve overall database performance and reliability.
