Sponsored Ads helps merchants, retail vendors, and brand owners grows incremental sales of their products sold on Amazon through native advertising. Sponsored Ads achieves this by using a combination of machine learning, big data analytics, ultra-low latency high-volume engineering systems, and quantitative product focus. You will join a newly-founded team with a broad mandate to experiment and innovate, which will give you the flexibility to develop systems and services from the ground up. You will lead design/architecture efforts across the full-stack, partner with scientists to develop ML systems, and be a force-multiplier for other engineers on the team. Most importantly, you will have an opportunity to grow and broaden your technical skills as you work in an environment that thrives on creativity, experimentation, and collaboration. - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
