Overview

Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Executive to target and close new business with large strategic customers. You'll focus on understanding customer pain points in cloud environments and delivering tailored solutions. This role requires 3+ years of closing experience in enterprise sales.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 3 years of experience in closing sales, particularly in the mid-market or enterprise sectors. You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals, with experience in managing deals averaging $100k or more. You possess a strong ability to prospect and build relationships with key stakeholders in large organizations, particularly Fortune 1000 companies. You are driven and resourceful, able to navigate challenges and find solutions that align with customer needs. You have a deep understanding of business drivers and can articulate the value and ROI of solutions effectively. You thrive in a collaborative environment and value the importance of office culture in building relationships.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting into large Fortune 1000 companies while managing an efficient sales process. You will maintain and build specific relationship maps for your territory, ensuring you have a comprehensive understanding of existing relationships and aspirational contacts. You will develop a deep comprehension of your customers' businesses, identifying their pain points as they operate in or migrate to cloud environments at scale. You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, focusing on selling value and ROI. You will handle existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth within your assigned territory. Your ability to forecast accurately and consistently will be crucial to your success in this role.
