The Ring and Blink Customer Service Engineering Services team is transforming how we serve thousands of customers through innovative AI solutions. Our team is building the future of customer service, developing intelligent systems that provide timely, proactive support while improving efficiency. We're looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to design and deliver key components of our AI initiatives.
In this role, you'll design and implement critical features of our AI-powered customer service platform, make key architectural decisions, and help define technical approaches for automated support systems. You'll work across teams to develop scalable solutions that set new standards for AI-powered customer service.

A day in the life
As an Engineer on this team, your day revolves around shaping the future of customer service. You'll design and implement core features for our AI-powered platforms, making critical architectural decisions to seamlessly integrate AI technologies. Your focus will be on building robust, scalable solutions that automate customer support processes. Throughout the day, you'll drive technical improvements across our AI systems, constantly seeking ways to enhance performance and efficiency. Collaboration is key, as you'll guide team members and work together to promote engineering best practices, ensuring our AI solutions remain at the forefront of innovation in customer service technology.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java, Python)
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing large-scale software systems
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures
- Track record of delivering complex software projects- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with Generative AI technologies and large language models
- Strong background in AWS AI services or Amazon Bedrock
- Experience building and maintaining production ML/AI systems
- Expertise with CI/CD practices and DevOps culture
- Strong technical collaboration and communication abilities
- Excellence in system design and architecture
- Extensive experience with Python and Typescript

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
