Job Description

Want to shape the future of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) at Amazon?

Generative AI presents a generational opportunity to redefine engineering velocity, and the AGI Data Services (AGI DS) Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with a fast-scaling business at the center of AGI development.

The AGI DS Finance team provides the financial foundation for building AGI. In this role, you will support strategy in a high-growth area, developing models and insights that help bring advanced AI to life. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams, drive smarter decisions, and gain exposure to how Amazon builds and operates generative and AGI systems.

This role blends financial expertise with intellectual curiosity, supporting decisions that improve efficiency, scale, and investment in the future of AI. You’ll contribute to both strategic planning and day-to-day finance while gaining visibility with senior leaders and opportunities to grow your career.

We’re looking for someone with strong analytical skills, experience in financial modeling and reporting, and the ability to create structure in ambiguity. You should be excited by problem-solving, influencing across boundaries, and working in a space that combines the pace of a startup with the reach of Amazon.

Key job responsibilities
• Support monthly close and planning cycles for AGI DS with a focus on headcount, cost, and pricing reporting
• Develop financial models to evaluate trade-offs, support strategic planning, and guide investment in new GenAI services
• Identify, quantify, and drive efficiency and cost-savings initiatives across AGI DS workflows and customers
• Partner with the business to design and implement KPIs, dashboards, and reporting solutions that enable faster, more effective decision-making
• Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of AGI DS initiatives across data generation, annotation, and model review services

A day in the life
You will work closely with both AGI DS and Finance leaders to design KPIs, reporting solutions, and financial models that support quicker, sharper decision-making. Your work will span day-to-day priorities such as vendor and workforce analysis, as well as forward-looking investment planning. Because this is a fast-growing space, you’ll help shape new approaches and build lasting mechanisms.

This is a role for someone who enjoys learning, problem-solving, and working in a space that combines the pace of a startup with the reach of Amazon, offering strong visibility and the chance to contribute to the future of AGI.

About the team
Amazon’s AGI mission is to develop versatile, adaptable intelligence that accelerates innovation, improves customer experiences, and contributes positively to society.

AGI DS Finance partners with AGI Data Services to shape strategy, fuel growth, and steward resources as we build the future of AI. By joining, you’ll be part of a high-visibility initiative with lasting global impact.

By joining the AGI Finance team, you’ll be part of an initiative that is shaping new technology designed to improve customer experience and have lasting global impact.- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
