Enviva is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator to manage the logistical movement of raw and finished production. You'll operate heavy industrial equipment and ensure safety and quality standards are met. This role requires internal company certification and the ability to follow instructions.
You are a dedicated Mobile Equipment Operator with a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment. You understand the importance of following standard operating procedures and are proficient in operating heavy industrial equipment such as Front-End Loaders and caterpillar forest machines. You have the ability to inspect equipment and report any issues to ensure safe operations. You are detail-oriented and capable of performing daily checks and basic maintenance to keep equipment in optimal working condition.
You possess the ability to understand and follow written and verbal job instructions, ensuring that you can effectively communicate with your team and supervisors. You are proactive in maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to company standards for housekeeping. Your internal company certification demonstrates your commitment to the role and your readiness to contribute to the team.
As a Mobile Equipment Operator at Enviva, you will be responsible for the logistical movement of raw and finished production through the operational process on assigned shifts. You will operate heavy industrial equipment, including Front-End Loaders and caterpillar forest machines, to unload log trucks and load logs into production equipment and storage areas. Your role will involve monitoring and adjusting wood yard control room operating parameters to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
You will perform daily inspections of equipment and inform the appropriate point of contact of any potentially unsafe or improperly operating equipment. Additionally, you will understand mix targets and mix piles when feeding various types of fiber into the production process. Daily checks and basic maintenance tasks, such as blowing, washing, and greasing equipment, will be part of your responsibilities to ensure everything is in good working order.
You will also be responsible for maintaining proper paperwork related to your operations and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date. Your attention to detail will help maintain the high standards expected at Enviva. You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and the company.
