Amazon is hiring a Facility Operations Center Engineer to support the operation of AWS global infrastructure. You'll work with data center IT and facilities infrastructure to ensure reliability and availability. This role requires experience in large-scale data centers.
You have a solid understanding of data center IT infrastructure and facilities infrastructure, or you are eager to develop these skills on the job. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside software, hardware, and network engineers, as well as supply chain specialists and operations managers. Your experience in large-scale data centers has equipped you with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems. You are committed to maintaining high standards for safety and security while ensuring that customers have continuous access to AWS services. You are adaptable and open to learning, ready to support onsite technicians from around the world.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing assistance and support to onsite technicians, ensuring that AWS data centers operate at peak performance. You will collaborate with various teams across AWS to address challenges that impact the supply chain and infrastructure. Your focus will be on maintaining overall availability and reliability, meeting or exceeding defined service levels. You will engage in problem-solving activities, leveraging your knowledge of data center operations to implement effective solutions. You will also participate in initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs while maintaining service quality. Your contributions will directly impact the success of AWS infrastructure services, helping to deliver innovative solutions to customers.
