Information Security Engineer

Who you are

You have a strong background in information security, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing security controls for corporate infrastructures. You understand the importance of securing endpoints in a fully distributed environment and are familiar with deploying and operating security tools such as MDM, EDR/XDR, ZTNA, and SSO. Your knowledge of zero-trust principles, including device trust and conditional access, allows you to enforce security baselines and compliance policies effectively.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working cross-functionally to reduce risk and strengthen defenses. Your experience includes developing and maintaining IT security policies, standards, and procedures that align with best practices. You are proactive in leading initiatives for endpoint hardening and identity security, ensuring that security measures are practical and scalable.

You have a keen eye for detail and are adept at responding to security incidents affecting corporate systems. Your ability to partner with detection and response teams enhances your effectiveness in managing security risks. You thrive in an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and you are committed to fostering a culture of security awareness.

Desirable

Experience with compliance frameworks and regulations is a plus, as is familiarity with risk management practices. You may have certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar, which demonstrate your commitment to the field of information security.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for securing Five9's corporate infrastructure by designing, implementing, and managing security for corporate endpoints. You will deploy and operate various security tools, ensuring that they are effectively integrated into the company's security posture. Your work will involve implementing zero-trust principles, which include establishing device trust and conditional access policies to protect sensitive data.

You will lead initiatives aimed at reducing risk through endpoint hardening and identity security measures. Collaborating with IT and business teams, you will implement practical and scalable security controls that align with organizational goals. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and maintaining IT security policies, standards, and procedures that reflect industry best practices.

As part of your responsibilities, you will respond to security incidents affecting corporate systems, working closely with detection and response teams to mitigate risks.
