What will you do?
As a Principal Product Manager - Tech for Revenue Management, you'll lead critical pricing initiatives that directly impact Amazon Shipping's extraordinary growth targets. You'll translate our revenue strategy into tangible product solutions, developing sophisticated pricing systems that balance profitability with market expansion. You'll transform strategic pricing frameworks into intuitive tools and systems, enabling real-time decisions that optimize our network economics.
You'll architect dynamic pricing products that adapt to market conditions and network capacity, while creating interfaces that allow our sales and finance teams to move with speed and confidence. You'll build data visualization systems that make complex pricing information accessible and actionable for stakeholders across the organization.

Who are you?
You are a inventive product leader with deep expertise in revenue management, strategic pricing, and data-driven decision systems. You have a proven track record of building and scaling innovative pricing products that drive significant business impact. As this position involves regular interaction with senior leadership (VP+), you're comfortable influencing at the highest levels while also providing hands-on guidance to product and engineering teams. The ideal candidate combines commercial acumen with technical depth, possessing both the strategic vision to reimagine industry pricing models and the execution skills to bring those visions to life. You're a strong owner, right a lot, and have demonstrated success building products that transform business economics. You excel at navigating complexity, driving alignment across diverse stakeholders, and making principled decisions that optimize for long-term value creation.

Key job responsibilities
Strategic Vision & Revenue Architecture
- Define the multi-year product vision for Amazon Shipping's revenue management systems, revolutionizing how pricing delivers value in the shipping industry
- Architect sophisticated pricing frameworks that balance immediate revenue optimization with long-term market growth
- Drive breakthrough innovations that leverage Amazon's unique network assets and data advantages into sustainable pricing differentiation
- Establish transformative pricing strategies that become key drivers of Amazon Shipping's overall business success

Product Innovation & Delivery
- Lead the development of dynamic pricing systems that continuously adapt to market conditions, competitive landscapes, and network capacity
- Create advanced pricing algorithms and tools that empower sales teams while ensuring P&L protection
- Build experimentation frameworks that enable rapid testing and validation of new pricing models

Customer & Commercial Impact
- Develop pricing approaches that create compelling value propositions for customers while optimizing Amazon Shipping's economics
- Translate deep customer and market insights into innovative pricing products that address unmet needs
- Drive pricing transparency and simplicity that becomes a competitive advantage in customer acquisition and retention
- Balance customer experience with revenue optimization to maximize long-term business growth

Science & Data Leadership
- Partner with data science teams to develop advanced pricing models that leverage machine learning and predictive analytics
- Transform Amazon Shipping's vast data resources into actionable pricing intelligence
- Build sophisticated decision support systems that visualize complex pricing scenarios for business leadership
- Create metrics and analytics capabilities that measure and optimize pricing performance across customer segments

Cross-Functional Influence & Alignment
- Influence senior leaders across sales, finance, operations, and engineering to align on pricing strategy
- Drive cross-functional initiatives that connect pricing models to operational realities and technical capabilities
- Serve as the principal technical authority on revenue management across the organization
- Develop and mentor product managers to build a world-class revenue management product organization- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience technical product management
- 7+ years of end to end product delivery experience- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
