Together AI is seeking a Lead DX Engineer to own and improve documentation for their platform. You'll collaborate with engineering to create comprehensive guides and drive developer adoption. This role requires 5+ years of experience in technical writing and engineering.
You have 5+ years of experience in technical writing, engineering, and/or developer education — your background equips you to create clear and engaging documentation that resonates with developers. You are passionate about developer experience and enjoy educating others, making you an ideal candidate for this role. Your expertise in building AI applications and working with large language models (LLMs) allows you to understand the nuances of the technology and communicate them effectively. You have a proven track record of creating content such as documentation, guides, and cookbooks that help developers navigate complex tools and platforms. Your excellent technical communication skills enable you to explain intricate concepts to various developer audiences, ensuring clarity and understanding. You are proficient in writing code examples using Python and TypeScript, which are essential for demonstrating functionality and best practices in your documentation. You quickly adapt to new domains, learning and articulating complex concepts with ease, which is crucial in a fast-evolving field like AI.
As the Lead DX Engineer, you will lead the comprehensive documentation strategy across Together AI's products, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, accessible, and valuable to developers. You will write comprehensive guides on how to perform inference, fine-tuning, and training on our platform, providing developers with the resources they need to succeed. Collaborating closely with the engineering team, you will document and showcase new features as they are released, creating Python and TypeScript examples using our SDKs to illustrate their use. You will also create use case-specific cookbooks and guides that address common customer scenarios, helping to drive adoption among the global developer community. Your role will involve not only writing but also strategizing on how to improve the overall developer experience through documentation. As the founding member of the docs team, you will have the opportunity to build and lead your own team in the future, shaping the direction of documentation efforts at Together AI.
