Google is seeking a QA Engineer to manage product quality in electronic device manufacturing. You'll leverage your experience in quality assurance and Six Sigma methodologies. This role requires a background in engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
You hold a bachelor's degree in Electronic Information Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. You have at least 2 years of experience as a Product Quality Engineer in the electronics manufacturing sector or equivalent experience. Your English communication skills are fluent, both spoken and written. You have a minimum of 5 years of experience with product quality development methods in mobile device manufacturing or consumer electronics related to audio, wireless, and display technologies. You are skilled in preventing quality degradation during early production stages and implementing quality improvement processes in collaboration with contract manufacturing partners. You have experience leading cross-functional teams to solve problems using practical methods such as Quality Measurement, Design of Experiments, or Statistical Process Control/Six Sigma. You are familiar with embedded systems, digital circuit board engineering, and wireless subsystem testing. You can implement quality metrics, analyze critical measurement systems, increase product compliance rates, and apply cost-effective methods. You are eager to be part of a team that pushes boundaries and develops custom silicon solutions to drive the future of Google's consumer-facing products.
In this role, you will establish appropriate quality metrics, drive experimental design, and collect statistical process control data to evaluate, validate, and verify production quality across all factories and product lines. You will lead the management of product aesthetics and quality material management during the testing, assembly, and packaging phases. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained throughout the production process. You will also be responsible for analyzing quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and reliability of products that millions of users rely on every day.
