Overview

dLocal is seeking a Lead Sales Engineer to develop and lead the Sales Engineering function. You'll blend technical expertise with people leadership to deliver exceptional technical support throughout the sales cycle. This role requires strong collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.

You have a proven track record in sales engineering, with experience leading teams and developing strategies that enhance customer engagement. Your technical expertise allows you to understand complex payment solutions, and you thrive in a customer-centric environment where you can make a significant impact. You possess strong coaching and mentoring skills, enabling you to guide your team effectively while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. You are adept at working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product and Engineering, to design scalable solutions that meet customer needs. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders sets you apart, ensuring that everyone is aligned and informed.

Desirable

Experience in the payments industry or with financial technology solutions would be a significant advantage. Familiarity with emerging markets and their unique challenges can help you navigate the complexities of this role. A background in software development or technical support can also enhance your effectiveness in this position, allowing you to bridge the gap between technical and commercial teams.

What you'll do

As the Lead Sales Engineer at dLocal, you will be responsible for shaping the Sales Engineering function and ensuring that your team delivers best-in-class technical support throughout the sales cycle. You will coach and mentor Sales Engineers, helping them develop their skills and grow in their roles. Collaborating closely with the Commercial organization, you will act as a strategic partner, providing insights and technical expertise that drive sales success. Your role will involve shaping the pre-sales strategy, ensuring that your team is equipped to address customer needs effectively. You will work with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to design scalable and impactful customer solutions, ensuring that dLocal remains a leader in the payments industry. Your leadership will foster a culture of excellence, encouraging your team to innovate and excel in their roles.
