Astranis is hiring a Power Electronics Engineer to design and validate power converters and systems for advanced satellites. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and utilize your electrical engineering expertise. This role requires hands-on experience in power electronics.
You have a strong background in electrical engineering with a focus on power electronics — you've conceptualized and designed power converters and systems that meet stringent requirements for efficiency and performance. Your experience includes hands-on work with simulations, schematics, and board bring-up, allowing you to troubleshoot and optimize designs effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to engineer innovative solutions that balance size, weight, cost, and thermal performance. You are detail-oriented and possess a deep understanding of the challenges involved in power conversion for satellite applications.
Experience with satellite systems or aerospace applications is a plus — you understand the unique demands of operating in high orbits and the importance of reliability and security in power systems. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in power electronics design will set you apart.
