Uber is hiring an Account Executive to expand Uber Eats' restaurant selection by acquiring high-quality SMB partners. You'll be responsible for managing the sales funnel and driving negotiations. This role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to identify high-potential restaurants.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in account management or business development, and you thrive in a competitive environment. Your strong negotiation skills allow you to balance quality and volume effectively, ensuring that you can secure high-potential restaurant partners for Uber Eats. You are analytical and disciplined, capable of managing your sales funnel from prospecting to closing deals. You understand the importance of building relationships and maintaining engagement with partners from day one.
Experience in the food and beverage industry or a similar field is a plus, as it gives you insights into the unique challenges and opportunities within this market. Familiarity with SMB dynamics and the ability to leverage geo insights for strategic decision-making will set you apart. You are comfortable with travel and can adapt to varying assigned territories, demonstrating flexibility in your approach to sales.
In this role, you will independently design and manage your weekly funnel construction plan, aiming to close approximately 20 restaurants per month. You will source, qualify, and prioritize potential restaurant partners using geo insights and competitive dynamics to ensure a healthy stage distribution in your sales pipeline. Your ability to run complex negotiations will be crucial as you lead multi-step discussions that balance unit economics and merchant expectations. You will structure offers that align with both Uber's goals and the needs of the restaurants, ensuring a win-win outcome.
You will also be responsible for early-life follow-up with merchants to ensure they activate successfully and remain engaged. This involves not just closing deals but also nurturing relationships to foster long-term partnerships. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the onboarding process is smooth and that partners receive the support they need to thrive within the Uber Eats ecosystem.
