Checkr is seeking an Engineering Manager for their Growth team to lead initiatives focused on customer acquisition and retention. You'll work closely with product management to enhance features and improve customer experiences. This role requires strong leadership skills and experience in driving growth-focused projects.
You have a proven track record of leading engineering teams, ideally with a focus on growth initiatives. Your experience includes building and coaching teams to achieve ambitious goals, and you thrive on motivating others to excel in their roles. You understand the importance of customer experience and have a knack for improving onboarding processes and engagement strategies. You are comfortable with technical debt management and have a vision for sustainable scaling of engineering practices. You are a collaborative partner who enjoys working closely with product management to bring new features to market. You are passionate about leveraging data to drive decisions and unlock business value.
Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus, as is familiarity with self-serve business models. You may have a background in data platforms or risk assessment technologies, which aligns with Checkr’s mission. A strong understanding of customer conversion metrics and growth funnels will set you apart in this role.
As the Engineering Manager for the Growth team at Checkr, you will lead initiatives aimed at increasing self-service customer conversions and enhancing the onboarding experience. You will work on creating engagement loops that drive product usage across various customer segments. Your role will involve leading test experimentation across multiple surfaces to unlock incremental business value while improving customer experience. You will drive the technical vision for the team, ensuring that it aligns with Checkr’s objectives and excites your team members for the next chapter of growth. You will partner closely with product management to build new features and enhance existing ones, ensuring that the engineering team is well-equipped to meet the demands of the business. You will also focus on reducing technical debt and implementing best practices for sustainable scaling of the engineering team.
