Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in Product Design or equivalent practical experience, showcasing your ability to own complex systems. Your strong portfolio highlights deeply technical work, including internal tools and robotics interfaces, demonstrating your capability in designing for advanced technologies. You thrive in highly technical environments and are passionate about shaping product direction while raising the bar for design across your team. You possess deep technical fluency, allowing you to translate complex technical constraints and autonomy behaviors into clear, usable interfaces. Collaboration is key for you, as you partner closely with engineering, product management, research, and operations to ensure a cohesive product vision.

Desirable

You have experience designing for AI-driven systems and a strong understanding of user experience principles. Your ability to evolve scalable interaction patterns and frameworks will be a significant asset in this role. You are familiar with design systems and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that the quality of your work influences areas beyond your immediate product focus.

What you'll do

In this role, you will contribute to the design of mission-critical tools that support fleet operations, autonomy workflows, remote assistance, and system monitoring across Uber’s AV ecosystem. You will translate complex technical constraints and real-time data flows into clear, usable, and resilient interfaces that enhance user experience. Your collaboration with engineering, product management, and research will shape product direction from early technical exploration through execution. You will design and evolve scalable interaction patterns, frameworks, and internal design systems for autonomy and robotics tooling, setting a high bar for craft, clarity, and execution. Your influence will extend beyond your immediate product area, impacting the overall quality of design at Uber.

What we offer

You will be part of a culture that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence in design, contributing to the future of transportation.
