Affirm is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to oversee high visibility programs and streamline processes for building customer and merchant products. You'll coordinate across engineering teams and manage program schedules. This role requires strong technical understanding and program management experience.
You have extensive experience in technical program management, ideally with a background in software development or engineering. You understand the complexities of building customer and merchant products and can navigate the challenges that come with scaling processes. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders sets you apart, allowing you to drive alignment across teams. You are proactive in identifying risks and dependencies, ensuring that projects stay on track and meet their objectives. You possess a strong technical acumen, enabling you to understand implementation at the architecture level and propose viable alternatives when necessary. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy partnering with product and engineering teams to drive successful outcomes.
Experience with agile methodologies and familiarity with project management tools will be beneficial. A background in fintech or consumer products is a plus, as it will help you understand the unique challenges and opportunities in this space. You are comfortable with data-driven decision-making and can leverage analytics to inform your program management practices.
In this role, you will drive complex, multi-disciplinary technical programs that are critical to Affirm's mission of expanding its consumer product suite. You will coordinate across engineering teams and non-engineering stakeholders throughout the full program lifecycle, from planning requirements to managing schedules and communicating progress. Your role will involve evaluating new technology developments to identify potential features and products that can enhance the customer experience. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure that program goals align with business objectives, and you will track progress while resolving any dependencies that arise. Your ability to ask clarifying questions and push for effective solutions will be key to your success in this position. You will also be responsible for developing processes and frameworks that support quality software development as the company scales.
