You have a strong background in sales, ideally with experience in managing client accounts and fostering long-term relationships. Your business-level English proficiency allows you to communicate effectively with both local and international clients. You are comfortable using basic PC skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to prepare reports and presentations. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy engaging with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Your ability to multitask and adapt to new challenges makes you a valuable asset to the team. While experience in the consumer goods industry is a plus, it is not a strict requirement. You are eager to learn and grow within the company, contributing to its mission of supporting clients' business growth.
As an Account Manager at Mintel Japan, you will be responsible for managing the accounts of clients acquired through new business development. You will conduct regular meetings with clients to review service usage and discuss renewal intentions, addressing any concerns they may have. You will also facilitate training sessions to explain the subscription services to clients, ensuring they understand how to maximize their use of the tools available. Additionally, you will respond to data extraction requests from clients, providing insights based on their subscription services. Occasionally, you will organize and attend presentations where analysts discuss market trends with existing clients, collaborating with internal teams to prepare for these events. You may also participate in trade shows, representing Mintel and explaining services to visitors. Domestic and international travel may be required for client meetings and internal conferences several times a year.
Mintel offers a supportive and open work environment where employees can freely exchange ideas across different levels and offices. You will have the opportunity to participate in local volunteering activities, promoting community engagement. The company prioritizes mental health and wellbeing, providing access to resources like the Modern Health App and Employee Assistance Programme. The office is designed to foster collaboration and creativity, making it an enjoyable place to work. Mintel is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and encourages applications from diverse backgrounds.
