You have experience shipping product features at scale and excel at making the right tradeoffs between building it fast and building it right. You have a track record of leading and delivering on cross-functional projects, supporting multiple engineers along the way. You possess strong technical skills, particularly in JavaScript and Node.js, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience with additional backend technologies or frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with e-commerce platforms. What you'll do

In this role, you will be a foundational member of the Discovery Feed & Personalization team at Whatnot. Your primary responsibility will be to ship product features that enhance the user experience and drive engagement on the platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure that the features you develop align with the company’s vision and user needs.

You will participate in the entire development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring that the features you build are scalable and maintainable. You will also be involved in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Your contributions will directly impact the growth of new sellers and small categories, helping them thrive in the marketplace.
