Who you are

You have over 10 years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing, with a deep understanding of data governance and architecture. Your expertise allows you to guide technical decisions and mentor your team effectively, ensuring they perform at their best. You have a proven track record of managing engineering teams, having led hiring, performance management, and technical growth initiatives for at least 3-5 years.

Your experience includes working with large data warehouse platforms such as Redshift, Netezza, or Teradata, where you've successfully executed complex projects. You excel in collaborating with global offices and stakeholders, adeptly resolving conflicts and making rational decisions that align with business needs. You are familiar with cloud services, particularly AWS, and have hands-on experience with tools like S3 and EMR.

Desirable

Experience with stream processing technologies such as Kafka or Flink is a plus, as is familiarity with modern data stacks. You are comfortable navigating the challenges of a hyper-connected world and are eager to contribute to a high-tech environment.

What you'll do

As the Lead Data Engineer, you will establish the roadmap for your data engineering team, focusing on performance management and technical growth. You will lead the design of long-term data architecture and marts that support key business domains such as sales, inventory, and search. Your role will involve close collaboration with global office leadership to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

You will monitor large-scale data pipelines, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to data quality standards. Additionally, you will define and strengthen data governance processes across the organization, fostering a reliable data environment that supports enterprise-wide data-driven decision-making.
