Flexport is seeking a Manager of Ocean Operations to enhance operational performance in the Thailand market. You'll collaborate with various teams and partners to optimize cargo routing and performance management. This role requires strong operational skills and experience in logistics.
You have a strong background in operations management, ideally within the logistics or supply chain industry. You understand the complexities of global trade and have experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives. Your analytical skills enable you to build frameworks and tools that measure performance effectively. You are comfortable using technology to optimize processes and drive efficiency in operations. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are adept at managing relationships with partners and stakeholders. You are results-oriented and have a track record of improving operational performance in previous roles.
In this role, you will be responsible for building an operational performance framework that measures the performance of ocean partners across the Thailand market. You will utilize Flexport's allocation tools to route cargo to ocean carrier contracts, ensuring optimal cost, transit time, and availability. You will drive performance management initiatives, working closely with forwarding partners, ocean carriers, and trucking providers to enhance service delivery. You will analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing strategies that align with Flexport's mission to simplify global trade. You will collaborate with various teams within the company to ensure that operational objectives are met and that clients receive exceptional service. Your role will also involve regular reporting on performance metrics and making recommendations for process enhancements.
