Tanium is seeking a Solutions Engineer to help large organizations achieve visibility and control over complex environments. You'll work closely with sales teams to deliver technical solutions and engage in pre-sales discussions. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to translate customer needs into effective solutions.
You have a strong technical background and an uncanny ability to understand customer needs — you excel at translating complex technical concepts into clear solutions for diverse audiences. Your experience in pre-sales environments has equipped you with the skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from C-suite executives to technical users. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with sales and customer success teams to drive successful outcomes for clients.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to lead deep-dive technical discussions and present solutions that resonate with customers. Your analytical mindset enables you to assess customer technology and architecture, identifying operational and business needs that can be addressed with Tanium's platform. You are passionate about helping organizations achieve unprecedented visibility and control over their environments, and you are eager to contribute to their success.
Experience in a sales engineering role or similar technical pre-sales position is a plus. Familiarity with enterprise operations and security platforms will help you position Tanium's solutions effectively. A background in IT or cybersecurity can enhance your ability to engage with customers and understand their challenges.
In this role, you will work directly with Tanium's world-class sales team from initial discovery to deal closure, aiming to shorten sales cycles and improve closing rates. You will oversee and participate in initial discovery meetings with customers, providing platform demos and engaging in highly technical Proof of Value (POV) engagements for both existing customers and new sales opportunities. Your role will involve translating customer business challenges into technical solutions, ensuring that Tanium is positioned to effectively solve those challenges.
You will lead interactive pre-sales discovery meetings, analyzing customers' current technology and architecture to develop appropriate Tanium solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding customers through the technology evaluation stage of the sales cycle, demonstrating the value of Tanium's platform and addressing any technical questions or concerns they may have. You will function as a technical expert throughout the sales process, collaborating closely with sales and customer success teams to ensure a seamless experience for customers.
