Job Description

Position Overview: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, securing, and expanding supplier relationships within HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Industrial Supplies. This person will help continue to build Voomi’s supply network, improving catalog depth, ensuring access to high-demand, high-quality inventory across the country.

They should have strong roots in the HVAC industry. The ideal candidate brings a strong personal network and has experience navigating supplier dynamics.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of HVAC industry experience, ideally with time spent at an OEM or large distributor.

  • Strong personal network in the HVAC ecosystem: distributors, distributor reps, OEMs and industry associations.

  • Builds and maintains long-term, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers at OEMs and distributors.

  • Skilled at navigating complex org charts to identify champions and unblock decision paths

  • Ability to negotiate pricing, terms, and co-op/marketing funds with suppliers

  • Collaborative mindset – able to work cross-functionally with catalog, finance, and ops teams.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Thoughtful, persistent, and strategic in re-engaging lapsed partners or inactive leads through personalized outreach.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
