Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 8 years of experience in software development. Your background includes 5 years in a technical leadership role and another 5 years in people management or team leadership. You have experience managing organizational strategy and development, and you thrive in a matrixed organization. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred, as is a passion for embedded systems and launching consumer-facing hardware products.

Your technical expertise encompasses development, testing, and deployment of Android Board Support Packages (BSP), Linux device drivers, or Linux kernel modules. You are well-versed in embedded development and understand the intricacies of optimizing code while ensuring your team can do the same. You are adept at collaborating with various teams across the company, contributing to product strategy, and evolving roadmaps to meet future requirements.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Google, you will lead a team of engineers focused on the development of Pixel software. You will manage project goals, contribute to product strategy, and help develop your team by fostering a collaborative environment. Your role will involve optimizing your own code while ensuring that your engineers can optimize theirs, thus enhancing overall team performance.

You will be responsible for expanding new Pixel Software teams in Poland, developing new Team Leads and Technical Lead Managers. Your leadership will guide the team in delivering high-quality products and services across all distributed teams. You will collaborate with leads to ensure unity and consistency in project delivery, while also managing the technical aspects of major projects.

In this role, you will engage with various areas such as information retrieval, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, distributed computing, and large-scale system design. You will also be involved in networking, security, data compression, and user interface design, contributing to the innovative projects that Google is known for.
