Nuro is hiring a Software Engineer for their Infrastructure team to develop and integrate hybrid cloud performance benchmarking systems. You'll work with Java and machine learning technologies to support autonomy feature development.
You have a strong background in software engineering, particularly in developing and integrating infrastructure systems. Your experience includes working with cloud technologies and performance benchmarking, which is essential for supporting autonomy feature development. You are comfortable with machine learning concepts and understand how they apply to software and hardware integration. You thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to fostering inclusion and psychological safety within your team.
Experience with automated testing frameworks and performance simulation platforms is a plus. Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in autonomous systems will help you excel in this role. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and integration of a hybrid cloud performance benchmarking cluster. This system is crucial for testing various autonomy features and ensuring that the software and hardware work seamlessly together. You will collaborate with other engineers to evaluate and regression test different aspects of the software and hardware integration layer. Your work will involve creating simulated latency profiles and tuning camera ISP to optimize performance.
You will also answer critical questions regarding the impact of new machine learning models on GPU contention and sensor-to-actuation latency. By managing these systems effectively, you will contribute to the overall success of Nuro's mission to make autonomy accessible to all.
