Formlabs is hiring an Engineering Technician to work on prototyping and testing systems for next-generation 3D printers. You'll be involved in building hardware and performing engineering tests. This role requires hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical engineering.
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong interest in hands-on work and a passion for building hardware. You have experience in prototyping and testing systems, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can contribute to the development of innovative 3D printing technology. You are detail-oriented and skilled in fabricating and modifying mechanical parts, as well as performing board-level rework on PCB assemblies. You are comfortable using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and multimeters to inspect parts and ensure quality. You are eager to learn and grow in your role, and you are excited about the opportunity to work with a team of builders and innovators.
Experience with CAD software and familiarity with 3D printing technology would be a plus. A background in electrical engineering or experience with custom electrical cabling is also desirable.
As an Engineering Technician at Formlabs, you will play a crucial role in the development of our next-generation 3D printers. You will be responsible for building and modifying prototypes, ensuring that they meet the required specifications and quality standards. You will fabricate and machine high-quality mechanical parts quickly and efficiently, contributing to the rapid development of our products. Your role will also involve performing board-level rework on PCB assemblies and creating or modifying custom electrical cabling to support our engineering efforts. You will set up and perform engineering tests to validate the functionality and performance of our systems, collaborating closely with engineers across various functions to ensure successful outcomes.
