You'll work with cross-functional teams to optimize material supply planning and inventory management. This role requires 2+ years of program management experience and proficiency in SQL.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in program or project management. Your background includes expertise in supply chain planning, materials management, and inventory management, which equips you to handle the complexities of this role. You are comfortable managing cross-functional or cross-team projects and have a knack for process improvements in materials management. Your experience allows you to interact effectively with various technical and non-technical groups across all organizational levels. You possess excellent problem-solving skills, believing that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all involved. Additionally, you have experience with SQL and scripting, which enhances your ability to analyze data and drive decisions.

What you'll do

As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You will coordinate efforts across different offices, time zones, and hemispheres, ensuring that all players are updated on progress and deadlines. In this role, you will be responsible for material supply planning, procurement, and inventory management of critical data center products. You will drive optimal planning decisions to enable customers to meet their objectives while balancing inventory and excess and obsolete (E&O) materials. Collaborating closely with teams such as NPI, Demand Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Fulfillment, and Contract Management, you will address various demand scenarios while meeting the financial objectives of the business. You will develop and justify inventory buffer strategies that optimize cost and flexibility, ensuring that materials are procured and available to fulfill customer needs. Furthermore, you will drive cross-functional projects to implement new capabilities and improve existing processes across the organization.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions will have a significant impact on the company's success. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
