Wealthfront is hiring a Data Scientist for their Lifecycle Marketing team to leverage financial and behavioral data for marketing strategies. You'll employ skills in statistics and machine learning to optimize client engagement and lead conversion.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in data science, ideally with experience in marketing analytics — you understand how to leverage data to drive marketing strategies and improve client engagement. Your expertise in statistics and machine learning allows you to create models that inform decision-making and optimize campaigns.

You are skilled in SQL and can manipulate large datasets to extract meaningful insights — your analytical mindset helps you identify trends and patterns that can influence marketing strategies. You have experience in designing experiments and analyzing results to validate hypotheses.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to explain complex technical concepts in a simple manner — you enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product, to drive initiatives that enhance client experiences. Your ability to mentor junior team members is a key asset, as you believe in fostering a culture of learning and growth.

You are comfortable working with financial data and have a good understanding of client behavior — your economic intuition helps you design personalized campaigns that resonate with clients. You thrive in a collaborative environment where you can share ideas and contribute to team success.

Desirable

Experience with A/B testing and client segmentation is a plus — you understand the importance of tailoring marketing efforts to different client segments. Familiarity with behavioral data analysis will enhance your ability to create impactful marketing strategies.

What you'll do

As a Data Scientist in the Lifecycle Marketing team, you will utilize Wealthfront's rich financial and behavioral data to inform marketing strategies — your primary focus will be on maximizing lead conversion and optimizing client engagement through data-driven insights. You will design and execute personalized campaigns delivered via emails, in-app merchandising, and push notifications.

You will work on various projects, including client segmentation and campaign design — your analytical skills will be crucial in analyzing the effectiveness of these campaigns and making recommendations for improvement. You will also engage in client value modeling to understand the long-term impact of marketing efforts on client retention and satisfaction.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with marketing and product teams to create experiments based on clients' hypothesized pain points and aspirations — your insights will help shape the direction of marketing initiatives and enhance client experiences. You will be responsible for presenting your findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven decisions are at the forefront of marketing strategies.
