Software Development Manager, Appstore Commerce Checkout and Payments

Who you are

You have 7+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in engineering team management. Your background includes leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services, and you possess a strong understanding of engineering practices and patterns across software, hardware, and networks. You have a deep understanding of distributed systems and the ability to drive technical excellence in mission-critical payment workflows. Your experience includes building and maintaining SDK APIs that empower developers to seamlessly integrate in-app purchases and monetize their applications. You are skilled in optimizing conversion funnels and reducing friction in user experiences, and you enjoy collaborating with product, business intelligence, and developer relations teams to achieve these goals.

Desirable

Experience with Amazon's digital offerings or similar platforms is a plus. Familiarity with Fire OS/Vega OS and the ability to shape technical roadmaps for next-generation commerce experiences on emerging devices will set you apart. What you'll do

As a Software Development Manager, you will lead the team responsible for the product details page experience on Fire OS/Vega OS across TV and tablets. You will own tier 1 services that directly impact revenue generation, ensuring they deliver 99.99% reliability. Your role will involve mentoring engineers and shaping the technical roadmap for the team, driving innovation in the commerce engine behind Amazon Appstore.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the user experience and enhance the checkout and payment workflows. Your responsibilities will include solving complex challenges related to payments and security, as well as ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will also be tasked with building and maintaining SDK APIs that facilitate in-app purchases, enabling developers to monetize their applications effectively.
