Overview

Hightouch is seeking a Developer Productivity Engineer to enhance the productivity of their engineering team by managing their monorepo and deployment processes. You'll work primarily with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Go in a remote capacity across North America.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in managing monorepos and optimizing deployment processes for engineering teams. Your expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript allows you to effectively contribute to the development and maintenance of tools that enhance developer productivity. You are familiar with Go and understand how to integrate it into existing workflows. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with engineers and stakeholders across the organization. You have a growth mindset and are motivated to help teams ship code quickly and safely, ensuring high-quality outputs. You thrive in a remote work environment and are comfortable working with a distributed team.

Desirable

Experience with cloud infrastructure and multi-region deployments is a plus. Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices will help you excel in this role. You are proactive in identifying bottlenecks in the development process and are eager to implement solutions that streamline workflows. A passion for developer experience and productivity tools will set you apart as a candidate.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of the monorepo used by over 50 engineers, ensuring that the path to production is efficient and reliable. You will work closely with engineering teams to understand their needs and challenges, providing them with the tools and processes necessary to enhance their productivity. You will implement best practices for code management and deployment, enabling teams to push over 75 commits a day with confidence. You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of the deployment pipeline and making improvements as needed. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and iterate on existing tools, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization. You will participate in system design discussions, helping to architect solutions that align with both product and technical requirements. Additionally, you will contribute to the documentation of processes and tools, ensuring that knowledge is shared across the team.

What we offer

Hightouch provides a supportive and collaborative work environment where you can make a meaningful impact on the productivity of our engineering teams. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will have the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies in the AI marketing space, contributing to projects that drive significant value for our customers. Our culture emphasizes compassion and kindness, and we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. Join us in reimagining marketing workflows and making a difference in the industry.
