Get to know Engineering / The Department

Our Engineering department is the dynamic powerhouse behind Adjust's cutting-edge technologies. Through seamless collaboration with our Product and Support teams, we transform concepts into tangible, customer-centric solutions with a strong sense of ownership and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Make an Impact/ The role:

As a Senior PostgreSQL DBA (mostly PostgreSQL, we also use Clickhouse) you will be part of our Database Team and you will ensure that existing database applications continue to work at any scale from Terabytes to Petabytes. You will be involved in every aspect of the platform such as providing PostgreSQL as a service, high availability setups, PostgreSQL extensions development, automation development, optimizations and analytics reporting software.

Empower Your Potential/ Responsibilities:

Improve and optimize our architecture and suggest improvements to current processes and structures
Troubleshoot PostgreSQL issues and propose/implement fixes
Advice our development teams on database best practices
PostgreSQL setup and tuning on a very high transaction rate and distributed environment containing PetaBytes of data
PostgreSQL custom extensions building and maintenance (C, SQL, PL/pgsql)
Maintain and develop data pipelines (C, SQL, PL/pgsql) or support other teams doing so
General maintenance tasks, operation monitoring and incident management
Writing queries and optimizing existing ones

Bring Your Knowledge/ Experience & Qualifications:

Proven experience as Administrator of heavily-loaded PostgreSQL databases
Good understanding and experience in C
Knowledge or willingness to learn Go
Knowledge of any automation tools (we use Ansible)
Solid research skills
Experience with distributed environments
