Microsoft is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support mission-critical initiatives for government agencies. You'll architect and manage secure cloud services, focusing on reliability and compliance, while utilizing Azure and C#. This role requires a strong background in building scalable backend systems.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with ownership mentalities and diverse backgrounds, who are passionate about raising the bar and driving impact across the organization. Your work will directly support mission-critical initiatives for government agencies and internal stakeholders, helping to deliver secure, resilient, and compliant cloud services at scale.
Our team’s mission is to grow the business by building software that fulfills our enterprise promises of high availability, resiliency, data management, security, and compliance across the entire suite of Azure services, with a special focus on government clouds.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate across teams to solve complex and ambiguous problems, continually learning from your colleagues and contributing to a culture where everyone can thrive. US citizenship is required for this role due to the sensitive nature of our government customer engagements.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
