About the Role

Bitvavo, Europe’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, is looking for a Research Analyst - Digital Assets to strengthen our Digital Assets team. As part of a 4-person specialist team within Business Development, you will play a central role in shaping which assets are listed on Bitvavo and how we deliver value to our users.

In this role, you will scout the market for upcoming token generation events (TGEs), emerging blockchain projects and potential listing opportunities that are relevant for our users and the long-term growth of the platform. You will lead the research process: analyzing projects, building business cases and aligning within the team on next steps toward listings.

This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of crypto adoption in Europe, by identifying and enabling access to the most relevant and innovative digital assets.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Scouting & Analysis: Monitor the crypto landscape to identify promising projects, upcoming TGEs, and emerging trends relevant to Bitvavo’s users and market position
• Due Diligence & Business Cases: Conduct thorough research on token economics, teams, market potential, competitive positioning, compliance, and risk considerations.. Build compelling business cases for new asset listings
• Team Alignment: Work closely with your Digital Assets teammates to evaluate opportunities and decide on the next steps in the listing pipeline
• Market Intelligence: Keep the wider Business Development team informed of ecosystem developments, supporting institutional and retail user needs with timely, data-driven recommendations
• Commercial Engagement: In some cases, you will also be responsible for initiating contact with promising projects, ensuring commercial opportunities are explored and relationships are established early
• Post-Listing Initiatives: Support post-listing strategies to boost liquidity, user engagement and trading. Track asset performance and share insights to enhance success

What We Look For

• At least 3 years of experience in a Research Analyst role for a financial services firm, preferably in the trading or crypto/web3 areas
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, tokenomics, and crypto market dynamics
• Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
• Experience working with on-chain and off-chain data, including building dashboards and reports
• Commercial awareness with an ability to evaluate projects based on user relevance and strategic fit
• Proactive, self-driven mindset with a bias for action and continuous improvement
• Collaborative approach and strong communication skills, especially within cross-functional teams
• Experience in asset listings, venture investing, trading, or research within crypto/web3 is a plus
