Senior Front- End Engineer, Retail & Marcom Engineering

Who you are

You are an experienced frontend engineer with a strong background in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating high-quality user experiences. With at least 5 years of experience in the field, you have a solid understanding of semantic HTML5 and the latest ECMAScript standards, allowing you to build modular and performant web applications. Your expertise in CSS includes modern layout methods and styling libraries, and you are proficient in optimizing and debugging CSS and JavaScript animations to ensure smooth interactions.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset — you understand the importance of delivering consistent, high-quality experiences that align with Apple's brand values. Your communication skills are excellent, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive innovation within your projects. You take ownership of your work, leading projects from conception to execution while ensuring high standards of software delivery.

Desirable

Experience with API implementations and web graphics manipulation is a plus, as is familiarity with functional and object-oriented programming principles. You are proactive in your approach and thrive in a collaborative environment, where you can mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead projects within Apple's Marcom Platforms & Services team, driving innovation and fostering teamwork. You will take ownership of project execution and architectural decisions, ensuring that the solutions you deliver meet the high standards expected by Apple. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with designers and other engineers to create interactive brand experiences that resonate with users.

You will be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and testing. Your technical leadership will guide the team in adopting best practices and the latest technologies, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to specification. You will also be responsible for optimizing performance and enhancing the user experience through thoughtful design and implementation.
