Key job responsibilities
We seek a Finance Manager to join the Amazon Health FP&A team to build out an Amazon Health Finance controllership program. This role will be responsible for proposing and implementing (or enhancing) health-wide controllership mechanisms. This role will provide AHS Finance leadership a critical view into potential risks and will partner across AHS Finance, Accounting, product and tech teams to proactively address controllership issues. The right candidate will have ability to work cross-functionally and earn trust with finance, accounting, tech, and business teams; experience with owning and leading end-to-end process implementation; and a track record of navigating ambiguity with good judgment.- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
