Handshake is seeking Commercial and Industrial Designers to contribute to an AI training project. You'll leverage your design experience to evaluate AI outputs and provide structured feedback. This role is remote and flexible, requiring at least 4 years of professional experience.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in commercial and industrial design, where you've created and refined product designs using sketches, detailed drawings, and computer-aided design tools. Your expertise ensures alignment with customer specifications and production capabilities, allowing you to effectively evaluate AI models in your field. You are comfortable working independently and can manage your time flexibly, averaging 5-20 hours per week on this project. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to deliver clear and structured feedback that enhances the AI's understanding of workplace tasks and language.
Experience with AI or machine learning concepts is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with evaluating design outputs and providing constructive feedback will be beneficial in this role. You are open to learning new skills and adapting to the evolving landscape of AI in design.
In this role, you will contribute to an AI research project by leveraging your professional design experience. You will evaluate the outputs generated by AI models, assessing their relevance and accuracy in relation to your field. Your primary responsibility will be to develop prompts that reflect your expertise, guiding the AI in producing better results. You will work asynchronously, allowing you to manage your workload according to your availability. As projects become available, you will have the opportunity to engage in various areas of expertise, contributing to the continuous improvement of AI applications in design.
