Carvana is seeking an Experienced Heavy Body Technician to perform extensive bodywork and train other technicians. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
You have a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience, demonstrating your expertise in heavy bodywork techniques. Your background includes extensive knowledge of heavy plastic welding, metal pulling, straightening, and stud welding, which are essential for the role. You are capable of performing roof and rocker panel repairs and are familiar with Bondo repair processes. Your experience has equipped you with the skills to train and mentor other autobody technicians, ensuring high standards of work within the team.
You are detail-oriented and take pride in your craftsmanship, ensuring that every vehicle you work on meets the highest quality standards. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to continuous improvement, both in your skills and in the processes you follow. You understand the importance of using state-of-the-art tools and techniques to deliver exceptional results.
As an Experienced Heavy Body Technician at Carvana, you will be responsible for performing extensive bodywork on multiple panels of vehicles. This includes heavy plastic welding and metal pulling, as well as roof and rocker panel repairs. You will also be expected to train and mentor other technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them develop their skills. Your role will involve using advanced tools and techniques to ensure that all repairs are completed to the highest standards.
You will work in one of Carvana's high-tech Inspection Centers, where you will have access to state-of-the-art equipment. Your responsibilities will include assessing the condition of vehicles, determining the necessary repairs, and executing those repairs efficiently and effectively. You will collaborate with other team members to ensure that all vehicles are prepared for delivery to customers in a timely manner.
In addition to your technical skills, you will play a key role in maintaining a positive work environment. Carvana offers a competitive wage ranging from $28 to $36 per hour, along with a $6,000 bonus for this position.
