What you'll do

As a Test Engineer in the Avionics Test Lab, you will own the success of flight hardware through rigorous testing procedures, including thermal and vibration tests. You will serve as the primary contact for any issues or stoppages that arise during testing, ensuring that all processes run smoothly. Your role will involve writing automation software in Python to facilitate interactions with flight hardware and test equipment, enhancing the efficiency of the testing process. You will troubleshoot test software, modifying the codebase to adjust test bounds and incorporate necessary updates. Collaboration is key in this role; you will work closely with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production teams to address and resolve high-complexity testing challenges. You will also drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing throughput and reducing costs, all while ensuring that the testing processes align with SpaceX's high standards for quality and safety.
