Job Description

Do you want to be a part of a team building the next $100bn initiative? Are you interested in defining and creating the future of shipping? Our team is building a new, emerging business to solve some of the biggest customer pain points in the logistics industry globally.

We are seeking a Senior Sales Operations Manager to lead the strategy and implementation of best-in-class sales tools and automation strategies for the North American business development team within the Amazon Shipping org. This role is integral to our org’s growth plans, and an opportunity for you to build and refine sales tools and technology from scratch. This will include working with Sales leadership teams to develop, implement, and manage business processes, systems, technologies, and strategies that optimize business functions and support our organization’s revenue goals.

A successful candidate has a track record of implementing and refining sales tools and technology in large, 100+ member sales organizations. The ability to simplify complex work streams across multiple functions through the use of technology and automation is a must, as is a relentless focus on improving the productivity of the North American BD team.


Key job responsibilities
• Develop and implement automation tools and workflows to streamline sales activities, reduce manual tasks, and improve overall sales productivity.
• Own the ingestion of customer lead data sets and ensure quality and actionability for the NA BD team
• Analyze sales data to identify trends, measure performance, and provide actionable insights to sales leadership for strategic decision-making
• Work cross-functionally with Learning and Development to provide training and support to the sales team on new tools, processes, and best practices, ensuring effective adoption and utilization
• Oversee the optimization of the CRM system (e.x. Salesforce) to ensure data accuracy, efficient workflows, and effective BD operation
• Build relationships with sales, operations, product, marketing, finance, and leadership and uncover opportunities to leverage technology and tools to improve org collaboration
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
- 5+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience- Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
- Master's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
