Who you are

You have over 7 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related quantitative field, with a strong background in developing data-driven solutions. Your expertise in SQL allows you to write clean and efficient queries to handle large datasets, and you are proficient in data scripting and automation using Python or R. You have a solid understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and demand planning, which gives you an edge in analyzing key performance indicators in these areas. Your ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders makes you a valuable asset to any team. You are also experienced in mentoring junior analysts and establishing best practices for reproducible analysis.

Desirable

Experience in e-commerce is a significant advantage, as is familiarity with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Apache Superset for data visualization. You are comfortable using Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration, and you have a knack for developing proof-of-concept projects to validate your ideas quickly. Your knowledge of generative AI and its applications in data analysis is a plus, as it aligns with the innovative culture at Coupang.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the entire cycle from ideation to production-level insights, focusing on developing smart heuristics to proactively identify weaknesses in supply chain systems. You will analyze root causes of stockouts and develop models to address these issues, ensuring that the right products are available for customers. You will collaborate closely with demand planning and engineering teams to integrate validated proof-of-concept solutions into the core inventory planning systems. Your role will also involve analyzing key supply chain KPIs such as stockout rates and sell-through rates, providing actionable insights rather than just reporting data. As a data translator, you will actively communicate the significance of your analysis to both technical and non-technical partners, ensuring that everyone understands the implications of your findings.
