The Amazon Fresh APAC team is looking for forward looking and talented Senior Program Manager to drive large scale game-changing cross functional initiative. This position leads highly complex program management for the cross-functional initiative which spans across multiple functional areas in end-to-end grocery shopping experience working closely with partner teams across APAC, EU, and US both in Fresh and Amazon.xxretail and operation organization.
As a Senior Program Manager, you will work as PMO of the cross-functional initiative leading the coordination across tech readiness, selection portfolio management, pricing, availability, CX, Operation, forecasting, and DEX. You will be responsible for (1) developing the programmatic structure and mechanism of the initiative, (2) driving the cross functional work to ensure on-time delivery of each workstream and task, (3) updating the progress and driving decision making as needed, and (4) managing KPI and sharing insight for continuous improvement. This role works with wide ranged stakeholders: multiple global organizations who own technical roadmap, EU team leading the same initiative, Japan local business teams, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Legal. Due to the breadth of scope and complexity of each area, and relatively early business phase, a successful candidate will be; highly motivated to build a new business model, eagerly learn from other regions/experiments, Big Thinker, analytical, simplifier, result driven and effective and thoughtful communicator with Openness for diversity.
This role needs to be based in Tokyo (HND10).
Key job responsibilities
• Develop the programmatic structure and mechanism of the initiative
• Manage cross-functional workstream progress working closely with international business and technology teams, local business and operations teams, other business partners (e.g. Finance, Legal, PR) to ensure on-time delivery of the initiative
• Drive regular review including key metrics update and decision making with senior leadership.- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of program or project management experience, or a MBA and 10+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
- Experience using quantitative data and metrics to communicate ideas.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to establish strong partnerships with demonstrable results
- Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English- Experience working with fast-moving, high-performance teams and driving innovative solutions tailored to unique business environments
- Experience prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
- Experience managing P&L
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
- MBA or Master’s Degree in Business, or Finance
