Sr. Software Development Engineer

Who you are

You have 7+ years of experience building cloud-native backend systems — you've designed and developed distributed systems that handle trust signals and identity validation, ensuring high performance and reliability. Your strong proficiency in Go, Python, or Rust allows you to create efficient and scalable solutions that meet the demands of modern applications.

You are well-versed in designing distributed microservices with REST or GraphQL APIs — your experience includes implementing event-driven architectures and optimizing performance through effective data modeling and caching strategies. You understand the importance of security and observability in backend services, and you prioritize these aspects in your development work.

Your debugging and performance tuning skills are excellent — you have a systems-thinking approach that enables you to identify and resolve complex issues in production environments. You communicate effectively and document system designs clearly, ensuring that your team is aligned and informed.

Desirable

What you'll do

In this role, you will build the core APIs and microservices that power DigiCert’s next-generation AI Security & Trust Infrastructure — your work will involve designing and developing distributed systems that handle trust signals and identity validation. You will implement scalable, observable, and secure backend services that integrate with various components of the infrastructure.

You will partner closely with infrastructure and security engineers to ensure that the services you develop are deployable and resilient — your collaboration will be key to maintaining the integrity and performance of the systems. You will participate in design reviews, code reviews, and incident postmortems, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Your responsibilities will also include contributing to data modeling, caching, and performance optimization — you will leverage your expertise to enhance the efficiency of the systems you work on. You will be expected to integrate distributed components with identity and trust layers, ensuring that the services you build meet the highest standards of security and reliability.
