Handshake is seeking Occupational Health and Safety Technicians to contribute to an AI training project. You'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate AI models and provide structured feedback. No AI experience is required for this contract position.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in occupational health and safety, which equips you with the context needed to evaluate and train AI models effectively. You are comfortable working independently and can manage your time flexibly, averaging 5-20 hours per week. Your background includes evaluating workplace safety situations and training workers in safety protocols, which will be invaluable in this role. You are eager to learn new skills and contribute to the development of AI in your field, even if you do not have prior experience with AI technologies.
In this role, you will participate in an AI research project by evaluating the outputs of AI models related to occupational health and safety. You will develop prompts that reflect your field and assess the AI's responses to ensure they align with real-world tasks and language. Your feedback will help strengthen the AI's understanding of workplace safety and improve its performance. You will work asynchronously, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the United States, and you will have the opportunity to engage in multiple projects as they become available throughout the year.
